Monster Mask by Pomplamoose

I discovered Pomplamoose [which looks a lot like pamplemousse which means grapefruit in French] a while ago. Jack Conte and Nataly Dawn are the two primary members that make up this duo.

Most of their songs are great! This was the first song I had heard of theirs and I fell in love with it. The lyrics were so simple yet thought-provoking and the acoustic music was truly refreshing, after constantly trying to discern the different whirring sound in today’s electronic movement...
They claim on their website, “What you see is what you hear. (No lip-syncing for instruments or voice.) If you hear it, at some point you see it. (No hidden sounds.)” That, obviously makes me respect them even more, because if this is true, it proves that they are genuine artists and musicians!
Here’s the deal, they didn’t write this song. It was actually, originally by Ron Weiner; here is his original version of it. I quite liked it!

You should check out more songs by the duo. The lead singer is releasing her own album soon. Although, I predict it won’t become mainstream anytime soon, I sure think it’ll be worth a buy! I’m definitely looking forward to it.
